| Africa:
John 1:12 "To
all who recieved Him and too those who believed and all who belive in
Him, He gave the power to become the sons of God." God has adopted us (Galations 4), Jesus said to "love another another AS I have loved you." Galations:
if we are sons than we are also heirs... Colosians3:4 - paraphased: we
have died to Christ and our life(s) are now hidden in Christ with God,
when Christ who is our life appears we will appear with Him also in
Glory. What about are brothers/sisters, coe-heirs, those
who also have new life in Christ but are millions of miles away and
suffering. When one in the Body of Christ Suffers, we all do. I
want to talk about those suffering from poverty and disease and famine.
Next entry I want to explore those suffering specifically because
of the name of Christ.
These Kids on the are smiling, they have clothes
and I guess daily nurishment, and possibly no diseases. But
what about those similar to the picture on the bottom here. What about
those born into poverty and even with hiv.

I
heard on the radio about a certain government offical in international
issues or maybe actually from Africa (I don't remember) said,
(paraphased) "Africa has become dependent on needing aid from
other countries." Also, Dr. Tony Campolo, Christian Speaker and
Sociologists beleives not just in aiding people but enabling jobs and
economies, his students and him have created jobs in small vilages and
towns like thses African ones with making crafts or enabling the people
provide and or create things that they can sell and market to folks in
their villages. I wonder, if this could be an answer.
I want people to sent money, don't we all want to
send money to fix everything. However, only a Soveriegn God can fix
things and people can only change behaviors by changing themselves or
being changed from within. Poverty is a viscious cycle and
disease is not simply a bad dream that goes away. When Jesus encountered a certain man born blind, the diciples asked, who
sinned, him or his parents? Jesus said that it wasn't about who sinned
but that this happened to show God's glory and He healed him.
God's glory? "Lord show your Glory in the lives of these children."
Ecclesiastes.. rain falls on the righteous and the unrighteous...
And I know that in the end God makes all things right unto
Himself...no more sickness ,death, or sin....Yet I believe now His
glory will show "today is the day of salvation." Salvation and Healing (Beatitudes)
for the poor in spirit, the mourners, the suffering, (Matthew-
Parable of Sheep and Goats) the naked, the sick, the thirsty, the
hungry and those in prison. - Salvation and Healing for
Africa. -

| Today He will fulfill His promises.
Today He will mold me into His likeness.
Today I am in Christ.
Today I Can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Today I will obey His calling.
Today We are one in Christ.
Today I am His and He is mine.
Today We belong to Him and to each other.
Today His Will be done... His kingdom Come...
Yesterday was a journey, Tomorrow is the things hoped for, and Today, too all these things, I agree and say... Amen.
Lord willing, I will write to you latter this week about what God showed me the other day... :) Peace, Beloved(s)

| FOCUS: what happened to
caring about other people, about empathy for those in need? When
did I become so wrapped up in myself. I don't want to turn away when I
see pain, I want to affect change...help people...
Jim Caviesal's character in
'Angel Eyes,' 'Catch' is his name, avoides the death of his wife and
son because he thinks its his falt. Well, when he has nothing left, he
romes the streets as a vagbon, helping people, and watching over a cop
(Jennifer Lopez) whom he subconscieously knows was with him the night
of the accident. Anyway, he also plays a bum in 'Pay it Foreward,' in
which his life is changed by the kindess of a young boy trying make a
difference. When he trys to return the favor to someone else, a woman
about to jump from a bridge, she claims she's not worth helping,
but he changes her mind with this, "have
a cup of cofee with me... a minute ago all I could think about was
getting my next fix, but then I saw you and I changed my
thinking... have a cup of coffee with me... do me a favor, save my life."
Don't we all wish we could
just give up the '9-5' days and be everyday missionaries and secret
heroes that watch over those in need? maybe we can. Paul said in
the Spirit, "I must become everthing to every man."
Maybe there is a little bit of universal truth in these fictional films
that I've just mentioned to you. perhaps a cup of coffee...aka: a real
experince with two people being honest and understanding with each
otheras well as genuinley wanting to make a difference? perhaps
this is a step in finding where change and healing begins?
